If you’ve been following NoVa Caps over the last year, you’ve no doubt noticed many of the photos taken by our photographer, Joseph Noyes. We wanted to take a moment to introduce you to him and his great work.
Since joining the NoVa Caps team last season, Joe has covered numerous practices, media sessions, and team events for us, and has become an integral part of our daily coverage of the team. We are fortunate and grateful to have Joe on our team, helping us illustrate the day-to-day story of the Washington Capitals. We feel his visual storytelling is second to none.
From Joe:
Since I was little I’ve always loved taking photos. I’ve been a professional photographer now for 10 years and have loved learning and experiencing a variety of new things. I began my photography through photographing nature. Soon after beginning college, I began shooting concerts at small clubs and worked my way up to shooting bigger shows at venues such as Verizon Center. I later began working in sports. My sports coverage has ranged from college to professional sports, and will continue to grow this fall when I begin working with the Washington Redskins on a home game basis this upcoming season.
Probably not as widely known for many NoVa Caps readers is that Joe is pretty accomplished with subjects away from the rink as well.
Great work, Joe!
