The Hershey Bears continued their winning ways against the Toronto Marlies on Wednesday night with an 8-2 win north of the border in Toronto. The win gives the Bears a commanding 3-0 series lead in the Eastern Conference Final.
After trailing 2-1, the Bears would score seven unanswered goals, six goals in a 20-minute span, to rout the Marlies on their home ice. Game 4 is Friday night in Toronto. Puck-drop is 7:30 PM. The box score for game 3 can be found here:
FIRST PERIOD
The Bears would strike first on a goal by Dustin Gazley at 3:02 of the first period.

Carter Camper picked up an assist on the goal to extend his scoring streak to nine straight games. The Marlies would tie the game on a goal by Josh Leivo at 6:06 of the first period.

The Marlies Colin Smith scored on a breakaway with 11:51 left in the 1st, to give Toronto a 2-1 lead midway through the opening frame. The first period would end with the Marlies leading 2-1. The Marlies out-shot the Bears 11-6 for the first period.
SECOND PERIOD
The Bears would tie the game early in the second period on a goal by Chris Bourque at 6:12 of the middle frame. The goal tied Chris Bourque with Mike Nykoluk for all-time playoff points for the Hershey Bears.

The Bears would grab the lead on a goal by Zach Sill with 52 seconds left in the second period.

The Bears led 3-2 at the second intermission. The Marlies led in shots on goal 15-14 after two periods of play.
THIRD PERIOD
Zach Sill would score a short-handed goal just 18 seconds into the third, to stretch the Bears lead to 4-2. This was Sill’s second goal in a span of just over a minute.

Seconds later the Bears Ryan Bourque scored on a shorthanded breakaway on the same penalty as Sill’s short-handed goal, stretching the Bears lead to 5-2 early in the third period.

Jakub Vrana would add another to make it 6-2 at the 5:13 mark of the third period. This was the fourth Hershey goal in a span of just over six minutes.

Christian Djoos would continue the thrashing of the Marlies with a goal at 6:12 of the third period.
Jakub Vrana would score his second goal of the game on a breakaway at 16:14 to make it 8-2.
The Bears would win 8-2, taking a 3-0 series lead.
