braden-holtby-saves

Braden Holtby made a flurry of saves late in the second period that held the Caps 3-1 lead. The saves were eye-popping gems, but just another day at the office for the Beast.

Holtby’s saves came at a critical juncture of the game, as the Caps jumped to a 3-1 lead and were looking to pull away. Holtby made two stellar stops to thwart any retaliation by the Penguins.

Holtby would first stymie Patric Hornqvist and seconds later make an outstanding save on a shot by Justin Schultz. The saves sent the Verizon Center crowd into a frenzy.
