It’s no secret, NBC’s coverage of the Caps-Pens series has not gone over well with hockey fans world-wide, and in Caps Country, it’s been a downright miserable experience. Caps fans just can’t take any more of NBC’s coverage, including NoVa Caps reader Brennan Reidy, who has simply had enough. Brennan decided to make a permanent statement this week. Here is his re-cap for NoVa Caps:
This all went down Wednesday afternoon. I went to go see my buddy (and best Caps pal) Jordan Bruch, whose a tattoo artist at The Body Gallery in Sterling, VA.
It was my day off so I decided to go hang out, and talk hockey as we always do. We had joked previously about this tattoo, and since it was slow at his shop, I asked if he’d tattoo it on my hockey themed leg. He does all of my tattoo work anyways, and there is no other person on this planet I’d rather have ink that permanently into my Pierre loathing skin.
We, as in all of my hockey friends (you should hear my father talk about him), really can’t stand hearing that man talk. Whether it’s bias towards certain players or teams, or the useless information of where a 22-year-old kid attended high school and college (I could go on), there is a consensus of annoyance and dislike. Hate is a strong word, but I’d tell that guy to shove it in public with no hesitation.
With no hesitation he said “oh hell yes, I’ll tattoo that **** for free!” That was all the convincing I needed. We wanted to keep it simple, so we decided on an easy font, and stuck it right on the shin of a leg that will eventually be covered in hockey tattoo’s. There is little more I love than the sport, and the Caps.
No better time than now, and no better friend (and great tattooist) to work that into a themed leg. Although most may not understand, it was time to speak up for hundreds of thousands of hockey fans around the world. Just shut up, Pierre.

I know it’s wishful thinking but maybe it’s Karma that the Caps have fallen behind 3-1 in this seven game series. How cool would it be for the Caps to shut up the Penguins and Pierre McGuire by showing them how it feels to lose a series after being up 3-1? PJ’S head would explode right there on national TV.
I have to hit the TV mute button every time Pierre opens his mouth. How does NBC justify him???
