Late in the second Caps fan favorite Jay Beagle and Penguins defenseman Kris Letang mix it up a bit and somehow Letang’s stick gets tangled up in Beagle’s helmet.
“I knew there was a stick in my visor I just couldn’t believe that it was stuck” said Beagle. “I might as well get to the bench because I’m useless right now. Typically you don’t want to be a stick magnet. You’d rather have the puck be coming to you but yeah, it was weird, I’ve never had that happen to me before. I don’t know if it’s ever happened. It was a little bit of a weird play”.
Beag’s also got tangled-up with a stick in his skate earlier in the game:

Beagle, who made his NHL debut when the Capitals took on the Penguins in the 2009 playoffs was happy with their performance during Game 1 indicating that the pace was, “pretty fast but physical”. He feels the Capitals are up to the challenge that the Penguins bring. “It’s going to be a war and that’s what we like” he said about the series. “Two opponents that don’t like each other and that’s what we expect. Some guys stepped up big and it was a huge win”.
Pittsburgh cheaters. Evident of stick in skate and in mask. Go back home you cheaters
