The Capitals returned to the ice at Kettler this morning for their last full practice before kicking off the playoffs tomorrow night. The Capitals will hold an optional morning skate tomorrow morning at 10:15 AM.
Morning Skate:
The Capitals continued with the lines that were formalized for the St. Louis game, so it’s pretty apparent these will be the starting lines tomorrow night. The practice lines at morning skate:
Offensive Lines
Ovechkin-Backstrom-Oshie
Burakovsky-Kuznetsov-Williams
Chimera-Richards-Johansson
Winnik-Beagle-Wilson
Defensive Pairs:
Alzner-Niskanen
Orpik-Carlson
Orlov-Schmidt
Weber-Chorney
Jason Chimera and T.J. Oshie left the ice during practice. Chimera would return, but Oshie was kept off the ice for “precautionary reasons”, as per the Capitals.
Told Chimera is being evaluated. Oshie was down on the ice in some pain for several seconds before leaving.
