Defenseman Ryan Stanton, signed in the offseason to a one-year, two-way contract, will be making his Washington Capitals debut tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

After sending Aaron Ness to the Hershey Bears this week, Stanton was the only other defenseman not yet in the lineup. He will be playing on a third-pairing with Taylor Chorney.

He had 11 points in 54 games played for the Vancouver Canucks last season, and has 27 points in 118 career NHL games. He will wear sweater No. 20.
