With a roster that has an average age of 24, the Hershey Bears have signed veteran forward Scott Gomez to a professional tryout offer (PTO).

The 36-year old Gomez is a two-time Stanley Cup champion (both with the New Jersey Devils) and should provide the young Hershey roster with plenty of experience.

Gomez began the season with the St. Louis Blues and scored one goal, adding seven assists for eight points in 21 games.
