The Capitals return to the ice tonight, following a five-day break, to take on the Pittsburgh Penguins at Verizon Center. Tonight’s game is NBC’s “Wednesday Night Rivalry” game of the week, so no Joe B. And Locker tonight. Puck drop is 8:07 PM.

As per Isabelle Khurshudyan, “Trotz said Schmidt is learning to play right side (since Orlov’s now on left), so probably explains some of why we’ve seen lots of Chorney”.
As per Katie Brown, Alex Ovechkin was asked by CSN’s Chuck Gormley “who’s better between him and Crosby. Didn’t love it. “Are you kidding me right now?” he shot back.
As per Mike Vogel, Former Washington Capital Eric Fehr is not expected to play, still recovering from offseason surgery. Believe he is making trip with team, though.
