Nicklas Backstrom skated for the third straight day.  As previously noted, Backstrom skated no more than three times a week prior to returning to Virginia.

  • Dmitri Orlov continues to stand out, amongst those who have returned to this point. Orlov is playing at a notch above all others on the ice.  Orlov hit a couple of beautiful top-shelf shots in the 4 on 4 scrimmage this morning, and continues to dazzle on the defensive end.
  • No practice for the Capitals Sunday or Monday.
