Schedule and Projected Roster for Capitals Rookie Tournament

The Washington Capitals have yet to officially announce the roster for the upcoming four-team Rookie Tournament, to be held September 12th-15th, but the roster is unofficially coming together.  The tournament will include rookies from the Tampa Bay Lightning, Nashville Predators, Florida Panthers and the Washington Capitals, and will be held at the Germain Arena, in Estero, Florida.  The Lightning have announced their roster for the tournament which can be found here.  The Predators have announced their roster.  The Panthers have also announced their roster for the tournament, which can be found here.

Tickets are free to the public.   It is expected that the rookies will be arriving in Florida on or around September 10th.  The schedule for games is as follows:

SATURDAY, SEP. 12
3:00 p.m. – Florida @ Washington
7:00 p.m. – Nashville @ Tampa Bay

SUNDAY, SEP. 13
3:00 p.m. – Nashville @ Florida
7:00 p.m. – Tampa Bay @ Washington

MONDAY, SEP. 14
(No games)

TUESDAY, SEP. 15
10:00 a.m. – Washington @ Nashville
2:00 p.m. – Florida @ Tampa Bay

Although not officially announced, the projected roster is fairly evident for most of the roster.  According to interviews with several players, public media accounts and general research by NoVa Caps, the roster is likely to include:

Defense:
Madison Bowey, Christian Djoos, Connor Hobbs, Tyler Lewington, Jonas Siegenthaler.
Free Agents: Alex Basso, Daniel Gibb, Jordan Texeira

Goalies
Vitek Vanecek
Free Agent:  Taran Kozun

Forwards
Riley Barber, Travis Boyd, Kevin Elgestal, Caleb Herbert, Liam O’Brien, Chandler Stephenson, Jakub Vrana, Nathan Walker
Free Agents: Trevor Cox, Miles Koules, Tim McGauley, C. Wislon
