How has your summer been? What have you been up to since Development Camp ended in July?
My summer has been good. I’ve been working on losing some of my body fat and getting faster and more sustained. I’m an ordinary guy, I love what I am doing and trying to get better every day.
What do you like to do in your free time, when you’re not playing hockey?
I love fishing and just being with my family and friends. Some video games too.
How did you feel when you heard you were drafted by the Washington Capitals?
I was just so excited. I started getting texts from family and friends, that’s how I heard the news. It’s hard to explain how I felt, of course it was a great feeling. My family was really happy for me.
How are you feeling about the upcoming Rookie Tournament? What are you looking forward to?
I am ready and really excited. Just to see the guys and play with them, it’s gonna be fun. To compete against other rookie teams is going to give me a lot of experience.
Capitals training camp follows the rookie tournament. Any particular parts of your game you are looking to personally work on during camp?
I am gonna enjoy every day and compete every day. Still trying to get stronger on the puck and work on my quickness.
Have you had a chance to meet and/or speak with any of the Swedes currently on the Capitals team? (Nicky, Mojo or Burra)?
No actually not. Maybe I will.
