The day started for many, standing in line early to meet the new guy, T.J. Oshie.  Some reports had the line starting at 8:00 a.m. this morning.  Great welcome for the new guy, way to go Caps fans!

Scrimmage
A staple of Fan Fest is the Red-White scrimmage. This year saw plenty of scoring, with an added 3 on 3 in each of the first two periods.  The 3 on 3 showcased first lines for both teams – Barber/Stephenson/Vrana for Team White and Murphy/Koules/Sanform for Team Red.  It was an odd addition to the game, but it was clear that coaching wanted to see these top lines in action.

The victors cup ultimately went to Team Red.

Equipment Sale
And pretty much anything and everything was for sale.  The usual sticks, helmets, shirts and pucks were available (game used and new). Used player sticks went for $60, unused player sticks went for $90.  Lines for the equipment sale started around 7:00 a.m. The sale was divided into one hour segments, assigned by season ticket holder seniority, beginning at 8:00 a.m.
