We first met Jackson Friedlander in the viral “Mite of the Nite” interview back in October. On Saturday, he was the Caps Kids mini broadcaster of the day.

Tonight is Kids Night as the Washington Capitals take on the New Jersey Devils at Capital One Arena. In honor of Kids Night, Jackson became the mini broadcaster during Saturday’s morning skate. Capitals play-by-play announcer Joe Beninati gave the young reporter some tips along the way.

Jackson’s big moment came when he interviewed some Capitals’ players including captain Alex Ovechkin and forwards Tom Wilson and T.J. Oshie.

Following morning skate, head coach Todd Reirden spoke to the media and Jackson had the chance to ask questions.

Members and families of the Capitals Kids Club are invited to join the team’s Kids Night on Saturday. Tickets start at $69. All kids 12 and under who purchase through the special offer link will receive a Capitals checking buddy.
