Scenes from the Capitals Annual Equipment Sale

One of the biggest staples of the Caps Fan Fest is their equipment sale. Here you can find many game-used items that players over the years have used. Everything from sticks, skates, gloves, helmets, practice jerseys, and team gear worn by the players themselves were all for sale on the upper level of Kettler Capitals Iceplex

One thing that caught my eye was the amount of sticks that were on sale. The players’ last names were on each stick and there were several names that I recognized that were on the Caps years ago. There was sticks used by Tom Poti, Tim Gleason, and Curtis Glencross just to name a few. There were also plenty of sticks used by recent departures Brooks Laich and Nate Schmidt.

On one table there were player hats, sweatshirts, t-shirts, and polos that were exclusive to the team. It included their recent playoff tees with “Next Level” on one side and “Terry Free Zone” on the back.

Here are some photos from the equipment sale:

Is the sale all week or was it just yesterday?

Did not see too many pants or gloves – literally two pair of pants and five pair of gloves. No elbow or shin pads, all three chest protectors were all worn out. All practice jerseys were giant – size 58+ . Lots of sticks , socks and skates though.
At least that’s what I saw at the second session. And most of the prices comparing to last year went up(except for socks). Not really happy with the sale this year.
