Schedule Announced for Capitals – Penguins Series

The NHL has announced the dates and times for the Capitals-Penguins second round playoff series. 

The Capitals-Penguins series will open this Thursday, April 28th at Verizon Center. Puck-drop is set for 8:00 PM. The game will be carried on NBCSN.

Game 2 will be on Saturday, April 30th at 8:00 PM, also at Verizon Center. The game will immediately follow the NHL Draft Lottery to be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday. The game will be carried on NBC.

Verizon Center has an event planned for the evening of May 7th, so in all likelihood, game 5 would be an afternoon start-time. Stay tuned.

The Capitals will practice on Wednesday (10:30 a.m.) at Kettler Capitals Iceplex. The time for Thursday’s morning’s skate has yet to be announced.

The Capitals have not made any official announcements regarding viewing parties at Verizon Center for away-games. We will keep you posted.

Metro has not yet announced if they will be staying open later or not. Stay tuned on that one as well.
